Just a quick few feature requests, hoping I'm not the first/last to suggest them:

- Units of measurement. Instead of just submitting X with a value of Y, it'd be nice if you could define the unit. Eg: seconds/minutes/hours, pounds/kilograms, dollars, etc.

- Make time submission optional. It'd be nice if you could just submit things per date, not needing to append a time. Sometimes it's just unnecessary and other times time stuff can result in strange graph behaviour. Eg: graphs look different to you when you're logged in as opposed to another user or logged out visitor - most often your latest submission sits on top of the previous day instead of current day (whereas to the logged in user of the profile, it appears correctly.)

- Connecting with other services. There are others who could give a better list of suggested services to interact with but I'd personally appreciate and make good use of last.fm connectivity.

- Bulk subscription. The fact that I can't just sign up for a yearly pro account is extremely off-putting, I don't want monthly activity on my account.

Despite these irks, I'm loving your service and very much appreciate all your hard work. Keep it up.

LOL whoops we posted at the same time. Got it, thanks, Nicholas. Hope that "number of entries" display comes soon--that will be VERY useful!

(Any hints as to when that one might arrive...? :) I'm busy plotting my life. :)

EDIT: Whoops! I just discovered the answer to my first question is under Display--you can choose to change the display item.

Still wonder about this though:
Is there a way to attach two numbers to an entry?
For instance, I want to be able to show that I’ve watched 14 episodes of Judge Judy (each episode counts as 1) PLUS show that I’ve watched 420 minutes of TV (each episode counts as 30 minutes).

Hello JuryDuty.
In response to your first question. In the display of your shows, go to the options and open the display option panel. Here you can toggle the display to show items or categories... just click "display as categories" and it should update the display.

In your response to the second question... we plan on introducing a "number of entries" display, so if you record the minutes you watch and each show is a single entry then you will be able to create a display to show both numbers. :) - Nicholas.

Hi Daytum!

Love the multiple categories, but I'm having trouble dispalying them correctly. For instance:
-I create a category "TV" and tag "Judge Judy" and "Survivor" and "LOST" with it. I also tag "Judge Judy" and "Survivor" as "Reality" and "LOST" as "Drama."
-I have no problem displaying the list of shows.
-But when I try to display a pie chart by Genre, the pie chart splits by show, not genre, despite the fact that I have it following all the genre categories and NOT the TV category.

ALSO
Is there a way to attach two numbers to an entry?
For instance, I want to be able to show that I've watched 14 episodes of Judge Judy (each episode counts as 1) PLUS show that I've watched 420 minutes of TV (each episode counts as 30 minutes).

Please help! :)

Can I second John's request for chronological sorting of displays? I realise there might be complications here (would you use the update date, or the date of the last entry for that type?) but I still think it'd be useful.

Really enjoying Daytum so far...

One problem I can't figure out is why the submission via Twitter will not add a new item to a category, even when I follow the syntax suggested:

d daytum ITEM [Category] : AMOUNT

It just doesn't seem to work, the item appears w/o a category.

Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

Loving the new features. Great job! :)

One thing drives me crazy. I posted it on the Google Code project page back in March but it was never accepted. Basically, the http://daytum.com and http://www.daytum.com set different
cookies so you can't use them interchangeably. If you sign in on http://daytum.com and go to http://www.daytum.com you are still logged out.
